Dexter
aired 8/11/13
After the way last week's episode ended, and the preview for this week, I COULD NOT WAIT to see what would happen with Hanna and what she did to Dexter and Deb. Deb wakes up home alone while Dexter wakes up in a field somewhere. Deb comes to pick Dexter up and he won't tell her what he knows at first, but by the time she shows up to get him, she has figured it out. Dexter starts his usual stalking and figures out where Hanna is, follows her to a club, and meets her new husband. WHAT. Oh, and she's Maggie now, not Hanna - and her hubby knows all there is to know about Dexter Morgan. Right away I guessed she was using him for something, though she says she isn't. She claims to be in love with him but we learn quickly that he is a powerful man, and she still wants Dexter. They have a secret rendezvous, her hubby finds out, and sics his gangsters on Dexter. Miles ends up dead at Hanna's hand and of course Dexter comes to the rescue and helps her cover it up. I have a small inkling that Dexter and Hanna will end up back together, possibly even married, by the end of the season. But as always with this show, the possibilities are endless. Maybe Deb will kill Hanna. Or Zach will kill Hanna. Speaking of Zach, how sad is it that he murdered Cassie? Dexter needs to focus and start helping him, instead of using him to get into clubs to follow Hanna. If Dexter doesn't start helping him soon, I have a feeling that Dr. Vogel will start teaching him the code, and that could go terribly wrong. I'm excited Quinn and Jamie are moving in together, even if it was motivated to be a slap in the face to Angel. I'm hoping Deb doesn't come between them after everything she has put Quinn through, but I think that's a likely possibility. I also think Deb and Elway are bound to get together at some point. I'm excited to see what transpires next!

Weekly TV Roundup #12

Hello fellow TV fanatics. Welcome back! We're at week 12 of Weekly TV Roundup and it's pretty exciting to realize this has been going on for so long. I've got a different format for my post this week since I have a lot on my mind in my personal life - when I have a lot going on I make lists, so bullet points it is!

Dexter
aired 8/4/2013
  • Joey wasn't given the sergeant job - I couldn't help but think he was undeserving of it when he caught Dexter and said "I know what you're up to" and in fact he did not haha. He is least suspicious of Dexter's true identity. Worst detective ever.
  • When Harrison accused Dexter of lying and brought out his puppy, covered in blood....oh boy! I think by the end of this season, Harrison will catch Dexter in the act, figure out more about him, or something terrible will happen to him because of who Dexter is.
  • Dr. Vogel wants to teach Zach "the code" and Dexter ends up deciding he wants to do the same. I'm curious to see how this plays out. I think Zach, being younger, will lack the self control Dexter seems to have.
  • I'm glad to see Deb and Dexter getting back to their normal routine. I think they are headed down a good path to recovering their relationship.
  • Hanna is back! I thought I was seeing a ghost when she showed up. I think Dexter really cared about her but I don't know what might happen now! How did she get out?! And she's married? I see her killing her husband in the end, or Dexter doing it.
The Bachelorette
Finale and After the Final Rose
aired 8/5/2013
My fellow TV rounder-upper, Tawny, posted spoilers last week that Brooks would be returning. At first I wasn't going to read it, I heeded her warnings, but then curiosity got the best of me. I really thought he would come back at the last minute, but I'm so glad he didn't. Chris is a hottie and seems to be a genuine, good-hearted man. If Des ever breaks up with him (though I hope they don't, I see it lasting) then Chris, I want you to know I'm here, and I'm available. Her relationship with Drew has always seemed off to me so I wasn't super surprised she sent him home. After last week's episode, when they showed previews of this week's show, I really thought she might end up going home. I think everything played out perfectly and worked out well in the end. Chris was the only one to meet her family and I'm glad she took that seriously and didn't keep Drew around to meet them when she knew that relationship was over.
I loved seeing Sean and Catherine on After the Final Rose. That is one couple I never saw ending up together, but now I follow them on Instagram and am constantly amused by what they post. I'm glad to see that some of the more recent seasons of The Bachelor/Bachelorette have been turning out legitimate couples. Now, I'm ready to see Juan Pablo as The Bachelor! I wonder when/if he will include his daughter in the show and how his relationship with his baby mama will impact his season, if at all.
Until next time!

Weekly TV Roundup #11

I took a break from Weekly TV Roundup last week due to personal reasons. My life has felt like pure chaos the past two-three weeks, between a number of things, the biggest being that I was hired as an elementary school counselor, and then two days later told that someone on a surplus list needed to be placed and that job would no longer be mine. Huge disappointment. So I'm plugging away with more job applications, more interviews, and oh yeah, our school year begins next Thursday - which means if/when I get hired, it will be crunch time and the next week and a half will fly by and be more chaos. But if I get hired, I will embrace the chaos that comes with it and be more than happy to start my career. Thanks for listening to my rant...now on to the link up.

Pretty Little Liars

 "Crash and Burn Girl"
Hanna's mom is in jail -  it's not looking good for her - and the girls are holed up in her house. Caleb and Toby are holed up in (?) Toby's loft, doing detective work with a board all about A. I really love Caleb and Toby as a team and the fact that they are in it for their ladies. I feel like Paige would totally join their team if they invited her to do so. The guy at the flight center was shady from the beginning. I knew he was hiding something. I wish they would have caught him and held him hostage to get some information out of him. The "babe" he was talking to has to be red coat! The principal accuses Mike of bashing "jerk face's" car. I'm referring to him as jerk face because, well, that's what I think of guys who spread rumors like that boy was doing. It kills me that Ezra is still coming to Aria's rescue. Can't they just be together???? I'm really curious to know what her letter to him says! I hope we find out. Emily steals the key to Wilden's apartment and of course the liars have to check it out. They find a package from A and we are led to believe Wilden was also being stalked by A. I say "led to believe" because unless there is solid proof in this show, everyone and everything raises my suspicion. I'm worried that even though the liars were wearing gloves at Wilden's place they accidentally left something behind that the police will find. Just as bad, or even worse, now Emily's mom is in trouble at work because the key is missing. Ugh. Way to go, Em! Why did we not find out who was driving the car that came crashing through the front of Emily's house? Why didn't she, or her mom, look inside to see who the driver was? Wouldn't she suspect it's A-related? The preview for next week (today) was very exciting and I hope they reveal who was driving the car. I have a feeling Hanna is going to confess to murdering Wilden to try to get her mom out of jail.
Thoughts?

Dexter

Deb's downward spiral is just growing worse and worse at this point. Drinking and driving is never a good combo and especially not when you run into a parking meter and pass out in your car. I'm not surprised she called Joey while she was in a bind. I knew she wouldn't call Dexter. Speaking of Dexter, he's still on the hunt for Vogel's former patient, the "brain surgeon." Dr. Vogel is not cool with his "love" for Deb and she's getting more deliveries from the "brain surgeon" - this time a his and hers set of brain parts. Dexter's quest for the brain surgeon leads him to the mall, to a sporting goods salesman. This dude is definitely creepy and as soon as they started a conversation, I knew he was headed for a chopped up ending. He confirms his suspicions about the guy when he breaks into his house and finds body parts and organs in the kitchen. Ewwwwwww.

Dexter is reaching out to Deb and tries to remind her that deep down she is a good-hearted individual. His efforts don't work out so well because it appears the next day that Deb is ready to confess to everything. And she does. She liquors herself up and walks right into Miami Metro and tells Joey that she killed LaGuerta. He locks her up in a room and calls Dexter to give him a heads up on coming to collect his sister. Dexter brings Dr. Vogel along to give her "expert opinion." Deb flips when Dexter shows up and is already in the process of writing out her confession. Dex drugs her and takes her, and her confession, home. I love the way it all went down. Joey thinks Deb is speaking metaphorically when blaming herself for LaGuerta's death and she gives just enough information for him to not see the real truth. I'm glad she didn't confess. I don't think she will end up going to jail for this before the season is over. But then again, she is really struggling right now. I can't see Dex killing her, but maybe Dr. Vogel will step in. She strongly suggests it when she talks about establishing the code for Dexter with Harry so many years before. FINALLY the episode ends with a plastic wrap kill scene. Now I can enjoy the rest of the episodes this season without desperately waiting for that. I know, I'm strange like that.

The Bachelorette

Usually I watch this show faithfully, every week, but I have been slacking this season. I like Desiree but she wasn't my first choice. I am waiting for the day that Kacie B. is the Bachelorette. I have seen bits and pieces of episodes up until now. I kinda like being out of the loop and not checking Reality Steve like I have done in the past too. Now I can try to figure out who she picks in the end and make a fun game out of it.

I love the hometown dates because I feel like if it's not serious at this point, nothing is going to change after the dates, but there is a much clearer idea about who is moving forward in their relationships and who isn't. First up was Zak and I feel like she really hit it off with his family. I love that they sang to her. What a sweet gesture..and how about him giving her that ring?!

Next was her date with Drew. She went with him to pick up his sister who has mental handicaps and bring her to his parents' house. I really like how genuine Desiree is and she seemed to fit in with Drew's family. I just don't see the connection between them as much as I do with the other guys.

Desiree went to Chris' hometown next and I think she fit in well with his family but her interaction with his mom was a bit strange. Chris chatted with his mom and she started crying, which he took as tears of joy, but I saw them as tears of uncertainty. I think she sees how happy he is with Desiree but doesn't want her son to get hurt.

The final hometown date was with Brooks. I see how strong her connection is with him and he really cares for her. As of now, he is my top pick. I see her having a future with him and I think both of them do as well. Zak goes home in the end and Des is obviously upset about this, as is he. I think next to go home is Drew.

Funday Monday!

Happy Monday!
This week I am co-hosting Funday Monday with Carly at Lipgloss and Crayons and Molly at Still Being Molly. I love this link up so much because you can literally write about anything! I love reading what everyone has to say about different topics.
I have had this summer off from work and school. It has been two months since graduation and unfortunately I'm still looking for a job. School counseling jobs are hard to come by. I met with the principal of a local elementary school at the end of March and really thought I would end up being hired there. In my district, new jobs are posted each Monday. I have been checking, and checking, and checking. Nothing was showing up. I called the school last week to find out that the principal had decided not to hire a school counselor for the upcoming school year.
I have been feeling disheartened and frustrated lately. I worked my butt off in my graduate program and have nothing to show for it yet. It has been discouraging. I am still optimistic though and am keeping my options open. I have searched for jobs in mental health agencies, at the local university level, and have decided to begin studying for the K-6 elementary education exam - so I can possibly start out as a teacher.
Positive thoughts are much appreciated as I continue through this struggle to begin my career as a school counselor. Not just for myself, but for my fellow classmates who have just graduated (there were about 12 of us) and are still on the hunt for jobs as well.

Pretty Little Liars
aired 7/1/2013
I want to say this show couldn't get any more twisted and confusing if it tried, but every week I am proved wrong by what the Liars get themselves into and what A comes up with. The girls are now being watched by the new detective in town and his partner.
Hanna runs into them at the bank when she goes to see her mom and they are emptying out Wilden's vault. Caleb is always around to save the day when Hanna gets stuck talking to the female detective. He also helps her cover for her mom when the detectives show up on their front door step. I think if Hanna doesn't stop trying to stick her nose all up in this business, she's going to get herself or her mother into some trouble. She confronts her mom about being in Rosewood the night Wilden was killed.

Emily's dad returns to town and her parents are under investigation. It doesn't help that she takes off running in the middle of the night screaming at them and the cops show up. I have a bad feeling that her parents are going to end up getting arrested, or Emily will be removed from the home, something along those lines.
Spencer is still all about helping Toby. She finds the doctor his mother saw in Radley isn't far from Rosewood and he sets off to find him and try to find out what went down. Toby locates him and they have a nice, long chat about his mother. At the end of the conversation, the doctor tells Toby to tell his mother he said hello. So, the guy has lost it clearly. But he says something interesting about the blonde girl coming to visit her. Dun, dun, dun.... Spencer spills to her mom and Melissa that she's been rejected from UPenn. They're not okay with that, of course.
Aria has started seeing her martial arts instructor, Jake. They run into Malcolm while walking through town and he asks why Aria never comes over anymore. Jake gets this confused look on his face and Aria ends up telling him about what happened between her and Ezra.
The big event of the episode: Spencer and Aria set up Melissa and then follow her to the mask shop, where Melissa is seen dragging out a bag so large and heavy that Aria questions whether a body could fit into or not. It doesn't contain a body but it is full of Ali masks and she destroys every single one of them. Spencer confronts her about Wilden's death and I'm pretty sure Melissa is guilty.
In the end, the girls get a text letting them know that Melissa isn't part of the A team. I find it odd that Mona was MIA this episode. Only makes me wonder what she is up to. I'm interested to see what happens between Aria and Jake. Is Ezra really out of the picture?
Dexter
aired 7/7/2013
I also watched Dexter (only one time through) and have a little to comment on. Dr. Vogel is already an interesting character. As I kind of guessed at last week, Harry had talked to her about Dexter. I really liked the videos of Harry consulting her. I feel it gave an interesting take on Dexter's evolution and the early stages of his serial killer side. Deb is going on a killing spree herself and can't even remember that she killed El Sapo. Time to lay off the drugs and drink, woman. I'm curious to see what happens with Jamie and Quinn. I hope they stick together and Quinn's protectiveness over Deb doesn't get in the way of their relationship. Is it wrong that next week I'm hoping for Dexter to kill someone? I know he killed Briggs last week but I'm waiting for the first plastic wrap kill of the season still.

Dexter
Season 8 premiere - A Beautiful Day

The "recap" of seasons 1-7 that played before the episode started was amazing. I loved hearing all of the actors' points of view of the show. I am not looking forward to this series ending.
6 months have passed since Deb killed Captain LaGuerta. Everyone is present for a dedication of a bench to her except for Deb, who is "out of town," which is apparently code for getting high and hooking up with a guy in a hotel...at least that's what we are led to believe until Dexter goes to her house and finds an overflowing mailbox, and then heads to her supposed new employer, who hasn't heard from her in weeks.  He tracks her down in Fort Lauderdale and she wants nothing to do with him.
Miami Metro has a visitor - a neuropsychologist who is there to help with a new case. She suspects a serial killer is involved in a recent murder. She gets 1-on-1 with Dexter and starts asking him about the Bay Harbor Butcher. At this point, I'm already thinking she is up to no good for Dexter's well-being. She's eyeing him in the meeting every time she talks about psychopaths and serial killers.
It wouldn't be a season premiere without Dexter murdering someone. He comes through just before the episode is over by stabbing Deb's "boy toy" who she has been supposed to bring in to her employer. Deb tells him to leave and Dexter returns to his car to find the back passenger door open and Harrison MIA. Leave it to Dexter to run and pick up his kid with blood all over his hands.
The episode ends with Dr. Vogel approaching Dexter as he sits on LaGuerta's bench. She hands over some child-like drawings with Dexter's name on them. He runs up and grabs her and slams her into a wall. She tells him "you can't kill me." He asks "why not?" and she responds..."I don't fit Harry's code."
What!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did Harry know this woman? Did he tell her about Dexter? Is she going to kill him in the end? Or is Deb?
All I know is Deb is headed in a straight up downward spiral. If she doesn't kill herself intentionally, something bad is going to happen. I'm thinking overdose, or getting mixed up in the wrong kind of business and getting herself killed.
And what about the season preview?! ajakdjfoaindnfd W-O-W
Until next time!

Pretty Little Liars
Turn of the Shoe - aired 6/18/13

I love that the Liars are still not trusting Mona. I think she deserves it after all of the crap she has put them through. I still don't trust her completely. Part of me wants to but another part of me is saying it's just part of her little game. The attack on her by the masked person when she got in her car was perfect timing. I'm always excited when a new episode opening begins, especially with a twist.

I'm getting mad at Toby for hiding stuff from Spencer! I know he wants to know what happened to his mom but what about your girl, dude?! She is a total catch. Except for that time she went all mental hospital on everyone. Is it wrong to think A is behind her rejection from UPenn?

I cringed when I saw Emily popping those pills. And now I'm suspicious of Hanna's mom. Also, how cute is Aria's new martial arts instructor?!

I was overjoyed at Hanna confronting Shauna, and Spencer confronting Ezra! About time for both.

Ali's mom is creeping me out completely. Why is she now coming home? And the bird, really?
C-R-E-E-P-Y!

So, the end of the episode leaves me still wondering about Mona and where her loyalty lies, and if Hanna's mom really did have something to do with Wilden's death. I wouldn't be shocked if she did. Or if she was going to end up framed for it. That guy put her family through a bunch of misery for no good reason.

Until next time!

Awkward
Redefining Jenna - aired 6/11/13

I feel like this show JUST came back on, and now the season finale is airing. What the heck is up with that?! How is time flying by so quickly?! Okay, that's enough ranting about how fast time passes for now.

First off, I love that Ming is the new leader of the Asian mafia and I can't wait to see how that continues to play out next season. I see it working in Jenna's and Tamara's favor.

So, Jenna is all over Collin and I can't say that I blame her. He's more mature than Matty and about as equally attractive. (Don't worry, it's okay for me to say that, because even though they play high school students, the guy who plays Collin is two years older than me, and Beau Mirchoff [Matty] barely qualifies for being a year younger than me. I double-checked.) Back to what I was saying, Jenna has the hots for Collin and she ditches Matty to hang with him at a photography exhibit. She ends up staying there almost the entire night and ignoring Matty's texts. Finally she heads to the party her bffl is co-hosting and lets Matty know she's outside. In Collin's truck. Yep, something is about to go down between them. He already told her he broke up with his girlfriend and wanted to be with a girl like her. They get their make-out on and Matty shows up just as Collin is pulling away, with no Jenna in sight. She pops up behind him and says "hi" all innocent like. I had a strong feeling she was going to end up getting some action from Collin. I'm glad she did. I feel like it's time for her to move on from Matty and see what happens there. Team Matty. Team Jake. Team Matty. Team Collin. I can't wait for the next season to start!

Pretty Little Liars
A is for A-l-i-v-e - aired 6/11/13

This part is going to be really brief, but thank goodness for DVR again because I had to wait until Wednesday morning to catch up on my PLL addiction. A pig was in the trunk?! Seriously?! As soon as I saw that though, I had a strong feeling Wilden would turn up dead before the episode was over. So Mona spills a bunch of A-team secrets to the Liars, A sends creepy texts, the girls meet their mini-mes outside Mona's lair, the Liars attend Wilden's funeral, Hanna's mom's phone is found in his coffin, and Toby turns over the lair for information about his mother. So much to process. I'm ready to hear something more serious about Melissa since for the past few seasons it's always being hinted at that she's a bad person and she's on the A-team. I want to know what her deal is. I kinda feel like she killed Allison. Or CeCe. Or both of them. And Jenna. I feel like it was mean girls vs. mean girl, right. I mean, it had to be, didn't it? I'm also excited about this new detective in town and the angle he approached the Liars with, saying that he thought Wilden had been harassing them. I'm really looking forward to tomorrow night's episode, which again, I will be watching Wednesday. Grr. I need to stop making plans for Tuesday evenings. But I'm celebrating my bestie's birthday a week late so it's a good reason at least.

See you all next week!

Teen Wolf
"Tattoo" - aired 6/3/13

Teen Wolf is another one of those shows I'm embarrassed to admit I watch. But I still watch it anyways. And I will still admit that I watch it. Cause really, I'm not that embarrassed. So I was really excited when the season 3 premiere came on. There didn't seem to be a whole lot of hype leading up to it, or maybe I didn't notice because the only time I watch MTV is for Teen Wolf and Awkward. Scott and Allison are still broken up. I love that Scott tries to get a tattoo...of lines? I really like his reasoning behind it but the tattoo itself is one of those poorly made drunken decisions. At least that's how I view it in my mind. So this whole episode is about the arrival of the alpha pack. They give me the creeps. I'm curious to see where the writers are gonna go with that one. Are they against Derek? And something was said about Scott being the alpha? But I thought Derek was? So confusing. I really want Scott and Allison to get back together and I'm still holding out for Stiles + Lydia to unite. I just think it's meant to be <3

I'll have to catch up on this week's episode tomorrow. Along with The Bachelorette. AND.......PRETTY LITTLE LIARS! Finally!

Awkward

Episode: Rubbed Raw and Reeling

Okay, I'm a little embarrassed to admit that I watch this show but it's one of those guilty pleasure ones for me. Much like The Vampire Diaries and Pretty Little Liars. It's a show about high schoolers but I could almost care less because it cracks me up. When it first came on TV, my friend M and I were obsessed. Awkward was a regular phase in our vocabulary. I've been watching it since day one. I've been through the Matty-Jenna drama, the letter drama, the Jake-Jenna relationship, and every other crazy thing that goes on in this show. I really wanted Jenna to stay with Jake. I liked them together. But I like Matty too. He's the bad boy turned good, and I'm a sucker for them.

In this episode, Jenna is selected by her teacher to read something she has written at Bean There Done That - a local coffee shop - and awkward surprise, her parents show up. Val (my guidance counselor role model) comes to the rescue when Jenna gets nervous and she is about to bail when she sees her teacher hanging out in the back and realizes she can't. She finally gets up to read: about how she lost her virginity. And who else is in the crowd, but lovely Sadie. Sadie is sort of my idol too purely because of how witty she is. "You're welcome" is by far my favorite catch phrase. After her reading, Jenna decides to spend some quality time with Colin. I'm not sure how I feel about him yet but I feel like he is the mature guy Jenna needs and something is bound to happen between the two of them. I love that he suggests he is "over it" with his girlfriend and her non-responsive response. Silence sometimes says more than words. I'm excited to see what happens between J + M this week.

I also watched the premiere of The Bachelorette. I had to skip this week's episode and save it for DVR watching tomorrow.

I'm also excited about catching up on the Teen Wolf premiere and next week PRETTY LITTLE LIARS.

Modern Family
I got into this show after the first season or two but I absolutely adore it. It's a great mix of being humorous and heartfelt. Phil is 100% my favorite character. Gloria is a very close second favorite. Phil's mom has passed and the entire family travels to Florida. Surprise: Gloria is wanted in Florida, so Mitchell volunteers to be her lawyer. He gets her cleared of all charges. Cameron joins a book club meeting and befriends the women of the neighborhood. Jay runs into a woman he recognizes as his first. Phil's mom leaves some things behind for him and his kids - Hayley gets jewelry, Luke gets a pocket watch, and Alex gets a lighter. Phil gets a letter asking him to set his dad up with a woman who lives a few streets away. So Claire drags him to the woman's house and a man opens the door. They return to his dad's house to find women all over him. They talk about breaking up Annie (the woman his mother wants his dad to be with) and her boyfriend and Cameron lets them know that it's not her boyfriend but her brother. Phil returns to Annie's house and lets her know about his mother's request. At Phil's mother's service, Mitchell says he wants to quit his job and return to the court room. Alex speaks about her grandmother and sets off fireworks while the letter from her grandmother is read in the background. This was my favorite part of the episode - even though Phil's conversation with Annie was extremely touching. Her grandmother's letter ends with "Every once in a while, don't be afraid to break the rules. You never know what can happen."

Now those are some words to live by.

I didn't have a chance to catch The Bachelorette season premiere last night but it's on my agenda for later this evening!

Guest post from my in-post sponsor!

Hi all! I'm Becky, and I blog over at www.maketodayanadventure.blogspot.com.

I was really excited when Angela asked me to do a guest post, and today I'd like to share with you a couple projects that I recently or not-very-recently posted on my blog, and a few tips on how to make them. :)

One of my very first projects was this comfy tshirt-dress. Most of my ideas I gather from Pinterest, but this one was "original". :) I think the hardest things to sew are bodices and getting the sleeves and neckline right, so this one was super easy in that regard. ;)
I started with a tshirt I liked (but was too short) for the bodice, then added specifically-measured scraps of tshirts to that!

When I sew it's really easy for me to take the easy way out and take a lot of wild guesses, but in the end I'm left with a lot more failed projects then if I had taken the time and effort to do it right! Hit and miss isn't usually the way to go...

So for this dress I measured the "hem" of the dark gray scrap, then made sure the next "layer" was 2 inches larger. I did the same with every layer, making each one 2 inches longer then the one before, then working it in so it didn't wrinkle, but got larger gradually. Didn't want something really "huggy". :)

If you love denim, or have just outgrown or inherited a bunch of jeans, this project would be perfect. I used a CD case to cut out all the squares evenly, then sewed them all together... Not sure how long it took, but the result made me grin!

I added leftover felt (from a failed project) and fabric from an old plaid skirt to the back. Super comfy!

I'll just end now with a couple more pictures and really short descriptions... :)

Sheet music Wallpaper.

Wooden plaque with a permanent photo transfer.

Thanks again to Angela for letting me write this post! I'd love to have any of you stop by and hopefully get some project inspiration! Maybe you can get around to some of those Pinterest projects that have been sitting around on the "To Do" list for a few months. :)

So, last week was the week of season finales. I don't know why the television channels have decided to do this but they have put my favorite shows all on Thursday nights. Thank God for DVR and streaming episodes online/on my iPhone because otherwise I wouldn't survive.

SPOILER ALERT!

My three favorites from last week are:

1. Grey's Anatomy

This season has had so many ups and downs. Thankfully, it feels like more ups. I'm so happy Meredith + Derek finally have offspring together. I think that's going to be one gorgeous kid. Especially with McDreamy's hair. Fingers crossed he inherits that! Meredith said something that was just so fitting in this episode, I had to write it down (in reference to performing her C-section) "The big ugly scary risks, because I'm a lightning rod for those!" Seriously. She doesn't seem like that bad of a person who deserves some karma to come her way but I feel like she has bad juju all around. Poor woman. Can she just have her happily ever after now? I'm really happy Alex and intern girl (Jo?) are ending up together. I feel like he deserves some happiness too. Then there was the inevitable WTF moment the producers like to throw in there with cheating (excuse my language) whore Arizona! I have a hint of a feeling that Callie will ditch her and end up with a guy again. It seems like she goes back and forth like that. I can't wait for the next season. My predictions are: Christina + Owen are going to end up with a kid, Bailey is going to end up with another kid,  Jackson and April will end up together, and then regarding the other WTF moment at the end, is Richard really dead?! Please, no. He's the glue that holds that place together.

2. The Vampire Diaries

This show is my guilty pleasure. Well, one of them. Mind. Blown. Seriously, what the hey! This was another finale with many ups and downs. I've been pulling for Elena to get her humanity back for quite some time. I'm so glad Jeremy is alive but not happy that Bonnie basically had to sacrifice herself for him to return to the world of the living. I'm interested to see how that plays out, as I feel she will obviously still be a part of the show (someone correct me if sources say otherwise) since he can see/talk to ghosts. I really can't believe that Elena is ending up with Damon. Wrong, wrong, wrong - in my opinion. I think Stefan is her true love and I'm still pulling for them next season. She has to be the first to realize that Silas isn't really Stefan. How crazy was that twist?! The guy who loved/loves the doppelganger is actually a doppelganger himself! Stefan can't die. I won't allow it to happen! And don't let me forget that Katherine is now human since Elena shoved the cure down her throat. Can't wait to see how that plays out! She is obviously going to be miserable. I wonder if she can be turned back into a vampire now, and if she can, if any of them will do it for her. I feel like she can't survive as a human, but it's going to be bad news for all of them, especially Elena, if she returns to being a vampire. Another thought that crossed my mind is Jeremy will want to be turned. Not sure why that's come into my head. I can't wait for Tyler to return either. I'm also looking forward to the preview that was shown after the episode ended for The Originals. I have a feeling Caroline's character will be making an appearance there. I think her and Klaus could work but he's got some changing to do for that to happen.

3. The Office

Okay, I'll be the first one to say that I cried. The Jim and Pam love story gets me every time. I'm also happy Dwight and Angela finally ended up together. I love that Michael returned! I think this was the perfect time to end the series though. I missed a good number of episodes in the previous 2 seasons. I sort of lost interest in it for a while there and I couldn't see it going much further anywhere. Thank you for some good laughs and good cries. What a series.

A new link-up preview!

I have some exciting news to share today! The lovely Tawny, of Tawny's Tidbits, came up with a really neat idea a few weeks ago and I had to jump on board. What is this idea? Well, read on to find out!

Weekly TV Roundup

Ever watch a TV show and desperately want to talk to someone about what happened? Problem is, you don't know anyone else who watches it with as much devotion as you do.

This is the spot!
Here you can link up with others that watch your favorite shows, talk about what happened, and what you think will happen.  Doesn't matter what show it is that you watch, just write about it! Someone out there watches it and would love to share their opinions too.

So, to give you all an idea of how you may go about this in the future, here is a little preview.
Revenge
(SPOILER ALERT)

I've been obsessed with this show since episode 1. I just love the whole premise behind it. Getting revenge on the people who did your family wrong and ruined your life, and being a super badass woman: Emily Thorne is my girl crush. I want to marry Jack Porter. And when I realized Daniel Grayson actually sounds like this in real life, he looked even hotter.

So, season 2 just came to an end and it totally blew my mind. I have wanted Jack to know Emily's true identity from day one and I can't wait to see how it plays out in the next season. I cried over Declan's death. I wasn't surprised to learn that Charlotte is pregnant. The 2 hour finale was a good call by the producers and it definitely left me wanting more. Summer is going to be a long wait for it's return!

Did anybody else watch the finale? What were your thought? Favorite part?

Tune in next Tuesday for the first official link up!
