high five for friday

I have been reading two blogs lately (Lauren and Kate) which post a "high five for friday" so I decided this week that I would join in the fun.


High Five for Friday is a weekly post about your five favorite things recently. it's a chance to stop and reflect on the things that you've enjoyed over the past week, which is something we should all do.

So, here are my five!

1. I ordered this awesome lunch box from Pottery Barn Teen. I'm not even embarrassed to admit that I did so, being that I'm an adult and probably shouldn't be shopping at Pottery Barn Teen, because it was $10.99 and I had a 15% off coupon code plus it shipped for free, so it cost me a whopping $9.90...I love a good deal. Also, now I have an awesome lunch box to bring my food in

2. In preparation for my job hunt, I received three awesome letters of recommendation this week from a professor, my boss, and a teacher from the school where I am completing my internship. It is so nice to have people say wonderful things about you! It really brightened my week to know that so many people are supporting my future as a school counselor.

3. I wore this outfit during FCAT Writes testing and I loved it. The best parts: all the things I am wearing, I bought on sale. Recently I snagged the brown dress pants at LOFT Outlet for...(drumroll, please)....$15! They are super comfy and look professional. I'm excited to pair them with other items in my closet soon.

4. My blush pink jeans finally came in! And by now you have probably noticed I did some major, unintentional shopping this week. I guess it was all of the excitement from last week's post in which I shared that I passed the final exam I needed to pass to become a certified school counselor, which, speaking of, I applied this weekend to the DOE to become certified! Anyways, I am going to look through my closet this weekend to try to plan some outfits with my new jeans because they may prove to be tricky to style.

5.  Last but not least, I came home early today from my internship because I was not feeling well and this little lovebug's face greeted me at the door. There's nothing like a furbaby's love to cheer you up when you are feeling down.

Now I'm going to lounge on the couch and finish snuggling up with this little guy.
