Being social

Yesterday I told myself I would not/could not/should not/was not going to make a blog post for today and instead would work on posts for the upcoming week, run my errands, and focus on finishing my reading of Choice Theory: A New Psychology of Personal Freedom. Well, I lied to myself, because I was drawn to post after seeing the Sunday Social link up hosted by Ashley and Neely, and now I'm their newest followers!

Sunday Social

1. What is one movie you are terrified to watch?
The Strangers! I went to see the movie in theaters, came home to my apartment totally freaked out, and somebody knocked on our front door at after midnight. I refused to open the door and begged my roommate not to open it either because they would get us "because we were home." Turns out, it was a neighbor of ours returning a package for our other roommate that had been left at their door by mistake. I didn't sleep a wink that night and anytime I have watched the movie since then (I love watching movies multiple times) I have had to do so with many lights on, even if it was midday and sunny out.

2. What is one TV show you have always wanted to get into but haven't yet?
It's more than one: Bones, Criminal Minds, NCIS, and Grimm. I watch a lot of TV and some of these are on when my can't miss shows are on.

3. What is one daring activity on your bucket list?
Go zip lining. I think it would be terrifying yet exhilarating and fun all at the same time.

4. Would you ever travel alone?
Yes, and I have. I've flown from RSW to MDW a couple of times on my own. I could fly on my own any day as long as I were going to meet up with a friend or family member in the city I was traveling to, or I could go totally on my own if I were traveling somewhere for a job interview. Planning a week long trip to some place by myself? That would never happen.

5. What activities do you like to do alone?
Relax, sleep, nap, shower. A longer list would be things I do not like to do alone.

Do we have any similarities?

Okay, now that I have that out of my system, back to my original to-do list.

  1. Zip lining in Costa Rica was awesome. The cloud forest is the best place!

    1. Daliene, I love the colors of your blog. I am your newest follower! So funny you mentioned zip lining in Costa Rica, just a couple weeks ago my supervisor was telling me she did it there, and that's when I decided to put that on my "bucket list"

    1. Hi Laura, thanks for stopping by! It's inevitable for me to fixate a few days after watching a horror movie on whatever the scariness of it was. The creepiness of The Strangers is one of those movies that's creepiness has never left me.

  3. I completely forgot about The Strangers. It is absolutely terrifying. I think I must've suppressed it - haha!

    1. Lauren, I absolutely love the creepy scene you posted from The Strangers in your Sunday Social post. I mean, how could she NOT sense someone was behind her?! I totally understand why it was a suppressed memory.
